What Is Stress?

Stress is the emotional and physical strain caused by our response to pressure from the outside world. Common stress reactions include tension, irritability, inability to concentrate, and a variety of physical symptoms that include headache and a fast heartbeat.

It's almost impossible to live without some stress. And most of us wouldn't want to, because it gives life some spice and excitement. But if stress gets out of control, it may harm your health, your relationships, and your enjoyment of life.

In addition, we are able to offer  Stress Management training for therapists and non-therapists to become Stress Management Councillors, thus either enabling students to either become their employers ‘in house’ expert on managing stress or setting up their own practice.

In the Corporate world, having either an outside Stress Management team like Power2Change, running regular stress seminars and available to assist individuals who require assistance in dealing with stress or having staff trained to carry out this function helps ensure that the employers legal obligation in this area have been met.
