Stress and Anxiety

In this period of time where we all live very busy lives, stress and anxiety have become major contributions to absenteeism and illness and can grow into major mental health issues.

In psychology, stress is a feeling of strain and pressure. Also this is one type of psychological pain. Small amounts of stress may be desired, beneficial, and even healthy. Positive stress helps improve athletic performance. It also plays a factor in motivation, adaptation, and reaction to the environment. Excessive amounts of stress, however, may lead to bodily harm. Stress can increase the risk of strokes, heart attacks, ulcers, dwarfism, and mental illnesses such as depression.

Stress can be external and related to the environment, but may also be created by internal perceptions that cause an individual to experience anxiety or other negative emotions surrounding a situation, such as pressure, discomfort, etc., which they then deem stressful.

Humans experience stress, or perceive things as threatening, when they do not believe that their resources for coping with obstacles (stimuli, people, situations, etc.) are enough for what the circumstances demand. When people think the demands being placed on them exceed their ability to cope, they then perceive stress. What happens – Glucose and proteins come out of fat cells to be delivered to the appropriate muscles. Heart and Breathing Rate with Blood Pressure increases to deliver fast. Any long term building plans are halted. Digestion, Growth, Immunity and Re production is inhibited. Perception of Pain is blunted

Don’t waste anymore time, call for an appointment now and discuss how you can be free from these feelings.

Fears and Phobias

Fears and phobias can be very debilitating and dramatically into the with our lives. Many people live their whole lives relying on coping strategies rather than take the action to resolve the issue once and for all. You don't have to live with these feelings.

Other areas where we can help.

There are many other areas that hypnotherapy can assist with. Pain management, recovery from surgery, confidence boosting, gambling problems, alcohol, recreational drugs, driving test nerves, business improvement, interviews, relationships and much much more.
